The "Apfelwähe" - Swiss Apple Pie
1 round cake dough
4-6 apples, peeled and drizzled with a little lemon juice
4 tablespoons of ground almonds

3 tablespoons starch
1dl milk
1dl cream

Step 1
Place the dough on a tray lined with baking paper (approx. 30 cm in diameter). Firmly prick the base with a fork, top with ground almonds and sugar.
Step 2
Add the apples in a ring on the dough and pour the custard (egg, milk, cream, vanilla sugar and starch) on top.
Step 3
Bake in the lower half of the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes (220°C/425°F).
